Already 2 million iPads sold in less than 60 days says Apple PR! It’s around 35 000 a day!
We must admit it’s a quite good result for Apple. Furthermore, iPad are being sold in 9 new countries (since last week). It’s going to be a huge success for sure.
Prices are going from USD499 (USA) to USD622 (UK) for the iPad Wifi 16GB. And from USD829 (USA) to USD1013 (UK) for the iPad 64GB Wifi+3G.

iPads may be taxed by “private copying levy” in some european countries. Around 8€ for iPad 16GB, 10€ for a 32GB and 15€ for a 64GB (in France).

On Friday May 28th, 9 more countries will ship iPads: Australia, Canada, France, Germany, Italy, Japan, Spain, Switzerland and the UK!
Since Monday May 10th, customers have been able to pre-order all iPad models from Apple’s online stores in all nine countries.

These are the numbers announced by Apple. Even more impressive, the iPad could only be purchased in the U.S. during these first 28 days! We bet it’s going to be a success in Europe, too, when it’s released.

iPad is preparing its launch outside the United States. Phone companies are announcing their 3G plans. Clients (outside US) are preparing for buying their iPad.
Meantime, in the United States, more than 1 million pieces have already been sold. And iPad is on all channels :

On Wednesday April 14th, Apple announced that iPad international release will be postponed to end of May instead of end of April. An unequivocal message is visible on French, English, German, Canadian, Australian, Japanese, Spanish an Swiss Apple Store.
Apple says iPad US launch has been a great success and the demand exceeds the offering. 500 000 iPad have already been sold the first week.
International prices will be announced on May 10th (and we will add them to the TechObservers matrix) but the iPad won’t be available before end of May.
3G version is still planned for end of April in the US.
